Fulfilling the Dual Mission: Leading in Technology and Infused with Medical Humanism – Uni-Asia Chengdu Hospital Co-Hosts the 2025 Palliative Care Professional Conference

On November 21-22, 2025, the “2025 Palliative Care Professional Conference and Clinical Application Symposium on Nano-Knife Ablation Technology,” hosted by the Sichuan Medical Association and directly organized by the Palliative Care Committee, will be grandly held at Longzhimeng Grand Hotel Chengdu. As one of the important co-organizers, Uni-Asia Chengdu Hospital is deeply involved in this academic event. Professor Liao Zhengyin, the hospital’s leading expert in interventional treatment, together with a team of experts including Chief Physician Zhu Liang, Chief Physician Luo Jiamin, and Chief Physician Zhang Junxi, will deliver thematic presentations, sharing the “Uni-Asia experience” in applying nano-knife technology to the field of pancreatic cancer treatment.

With the theme of “Unite as one, work together to explore the path of palliative care – Illuminate the hope of life, safeguard patient peace,” this conference brought together leading experts and scholars in palliative care and cancer intervention across the province.

Our hospital experts systematically introduced the clinical application achievements and surgical practice experience in tumor treatment that the hospital has attained in the advanced field using irreversible electroporation technology. This was not only a concentrated demonstration of the hospital’s technical capabilities, but also a strong response to the congress theme: through advanced, precise, and minimally invasive technology, tumors can be effectively controlled while maximizing the preservation of organ function, reducing treatment side effects, and truly improving patients’ quality of life and dignity of life.

Nano-knife ablation technology – one of the key development directions of the Interventional Oncology Department at our hospital – has been successfully applied in many patients with complex tumors of the liver, biliary tract, and pancreas, achieving outstanding clinical results. The sharing of the “Uni-Asia experience” this time aims to work with colleagues in the field to promote standardized application and innovation in nano-knife technology in particular, and minimally invasive interventional techniques in general, across the province, so that more patients can benefit.
