Snowy Plateau, Walking Together on the Medical Journey | The First Medical Team of Zigong High-Tech Oncology Hospital Sets Off for Tibet Today
Crossing mountains, glaciers, and seas to the snow-covered plateau, walking together on the medical journey to safeguard public health. In order to strengthen cooperation and exchange in medical technology between the two localities and contribute to the high-quality development of the healthcare sector, the hospital selected more than 20 core medical staff members to form the first medical team to set off for Tibet to carry out its mission.
Before departure, Party Branch Secretary Lâm Tinh Mai gave a message to the core Party member staff: “This mission in Tibet is both challenging and highly honorable! Each of us must always keep in mind the mission of a physician and the responsibility of a Party member, and fully play our vanguard and exemplary role. The special plateau environment is both a challenge for us and the beginning of a new journey for the team.”
All members of the team tidied their formation, kept in mind the mission of physicians and the expectations of the organization, and carried with them their sincere affection for the people of Tibet. The members shared that they would quickly adapt to the plateau environment, integrate into the local healthcare system, work together with colleagues in Tibet, learn from one another and complement each other’s strengths, and actively share clinical experience. With a modest attitude of learning and a rigorous, practical work style, they will complete every task and protect the health of people in the highlands with the compassion of physicians.
Ms. Chu Vĩnh Hồng, Chairwoman of the hospital’s Board of Directors, personally came to Tianfu Airport to see the team off and present the team flag to the team leader. She said: “The hospital thanks the 20 white-robed angels for their courage and dedication, and also thanks the families who have silently supported them behind the scenes. The hospital is proud of you and will always be your strong support. We hope the medical team will use the essence of medical expertise to write touching stories on this snowy plateau…”
As soon as the team arrived in Tibet, Mr. Vương Bân, Chairman of the Fukang Medical Group, was personally present at the airport to welcome them. The pure white khatas and sincere greetings made every member feel at home from the very first moments of setting foot on the plateau. From reception to logistical support, Fukang provided the utmost enthusiasm and care, bringing warmth to the members’ hearts. Through this cooperation, the two hospitals will use partnership as a bridge to exchange advanced interventional diagnosis and treatment techniques, helping to reduce the difficulties faced by local people in seeking medical care far from home. May the friendship between the two hospitals remain as steadfast as the Yarlung Tsangpo River, flowing endlessly.
