Professor Liao Zhengyin, Special Expert of UNI-ASIA Cancer Hospital Chengdu, Delivers a Keynote Presentation at APSCVIR 2026
From June 11 to 14, 2026, the 20th Congress of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR 2026) was held at the Suzhou International Expo Center. As one of the most influential academic conferences in the field of interventional radiology and minimally invasive therapy in the Asia-Pacific region, this year’s meeting brought together interventional specialists, clinical researchers, and young scholars from many countries and regions around the world for in-depth exchanges on cancer intervention, interventional treatment of vascular diseases, new technology translation and application, and many other cutting-edge topics.
Professor Liao Zhengyin, Special Expert of UNI-ASIA Cancer Hospital Chengdu and a renowned senior specialist in interventional therapy in China, was invited to attend the conference and present a keynote report on the topic “Cryoablation for Malignant Tumors of the Maxillary Sinus.” In his presentation, Professor Liao systematically introduced the research results and clinical experience of his team in the minimally invasive treatment of malignant tumors in this anatomically uncommon site. Through representative cases, he elaborated in detail on the technical procedure, treatment indications, efficacy evaluation, and safety management of cryoablation in the context of the complex anatomy of the maxillary sinus, limited surgical visibility, and proximity to vital organs.
Professor Liao Zhengyin stated: “Malignant tumors of the maxillary sinus are located in a special anatomical position, and conventional surgery often causes significant trauma and carries many risks. Cryoablation offers a new treatment option for patients who are not suitable for surgery or who desire minimally invasive treatment. I am very pleased to share our early experience with colleagues in the Asia-Pacific region on the international APSCVIR platform.” A representative of UNI-ASIA Cancer Hospital Chengdu said that the hospital has always encouraged its experts to participate in international academic exchange activities. Throughout the conference, Professor Liao gave his presentation and answered questions on site entirely in fluent English, demonstrating profound medical expertise and excellent international academic communication skills.
